MAXIMO SINGS PRAISE QUALITIES OF EMERSON

 

Brazilian midfielder Emerson De Oliveira Roque arrived yesterday, receiving a warm welcome from Young Africans officials and supporters.

The former Bonscusessco FC midfield anchorman is expected to undergo trials and medical test at the Jangwani Street team before penning a contract.

Emerson will fill the foreign player void left after his compatriot, Geilson Santos, better known as Jaja who opted to part ways with Yanga over family matters.

Speaking after touching down at the Julius Nyerere International Airport, Yanga head coach Marcio Maximo described Emerson as the player his team needs to challenge in both fronts.

The Brazilian tactician said Emerson is a dynamic and combustive midfielder and that he has the quality to propel Yanga to new heights.

Yanga are still in the Vodacom Premier League title hunt and will be looking to perform better in the CAF Confederation Cup early next year.

“I am more than excited to come with Emerson. As far as I know him, he is a dynamic and combustive midfielder and due to such qualities, he can help take the club to success,” said Maximo, who once coached the national team, Taifa Stars.
