Lamar Odom Reportedly Set to Leave Hospital, Khloé Kardashian "So Proud" of His Progress
People magazine reports
that Lamar Odom's recovery has progressed to an extent that he will be
leaving hospital this week, transferring to a long-term live-in rehab
center. He is still unable to walk on his own, People notes,
and is suffering from "cognitive impairment" and kidney damage
following his drug overdose (and the coma that followed). But he's "a
fighter," a source tells the magazine, and will "continue to receive
amazing therapy" moving forward.
Lamar's wife Khloé Kardashian previously told People
also that Lamar has a "long road ahead" in terms of his recovery, but
that she's there to support him as he learns to walk it. And while
promoting her forthcoming talk show Kocktails With Khloé on Wednesday, she added that she's "so proud" of him for the strides he's made so far.
Stopping short of specific updates on his condition, Khloé explained
that "it's not my story to tell, I want to respect that and I want him
to be able to tell that story" when he's ready. "He's doing amazing, she
added, "and I'm so proud of the strength that he has to fight this
battle that's his battle, and I'm so grateful for everybody's love and
concern."
